Geoff Shaw

Geoff Shaw is a Partner in Clayton Utz's Dispute practice in the Canberra office, specialising in commercial litigation, dispute resolution and advisory work in contentious matters. Geoff has extensive experience advising owners corporations in ACT on a variety of issues, including in contested proceedings in the ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal. He regularly advises on issues arising under contract, common law and statute (including under strata legislation), with a focus on legal, commercial, and reputational risks. Geoff has run some of the most significant precedent-settling cases relating to owners corporations in the ACT, including in relation to the timing and application of statutory building warranties and the application of rectification orders made against nominees.
