Andrew Francis

Andrew Francis is the Director of Safer Buildings Group and works extensively with bodies corporate, strata managers and building managers across Queensland on complex building compliance, fire safety, defect, and remediation matters. His work regularly involves helping bodies corporate navigate the intersection between the National Construction Code, building and planning requirements, fire safety, existing building conditions, and practical project delivery. This includes building compliance and defect investigations, combustible cladding and fire safety upgrades, water ingress, and façade remediation, building approvals and certification, EV charging infrastructure, as well as tendering, contractor procurement, and project management of remedial building works. Andrew's focus is on providing practical, proportionate solutions and supporting projects from initial investigation and development of a remediation strategy through tendering, approvals, construction, and final certification. This allows committees and strata professionals to make informed decisions while appropriately managing compliance, technical and commercial risk.
