Question: A strata managing agent hasn’t updated a scheme’s Strata Hub details since 2024. How will committee members and owners access the new training?

Our strata managing agent hasn’t listed our strata committee members on Strata Hub or updated our property details since 2024. How will committee members and other owners access the training? Will everyone need to register for their own Strata Hub account?

Answer: Committee members can register for Strata Hub themselves and must complete the free online training within three months of being appointed.

Strata committee members appointed after 1 October 2026 must complete the free online training on Strata Hub within 3 months of being appointed by registering for the Strata Hub. Upon completion, NSW Fair Trading issues a Certificate of Completion.

The training is available to anyone who would like to complete it. You will find more information on the NSW Government’s strata committee training page.

Additional training may be available in 2027.

This post appears in Strata News #815.
