Question: Should the committee consult with their fire protection company before installing EV chargers in the building?
When considering options to install EV chargers in the building, should the committee consult with their fire protection company (FPC) as part of their planning?
Can the FPC provide advice, products or (additional) services specifically directed to EV charging on common property?
Answer: As far as I am aware, consulting with a fire protection contractor is not required.
As far as I am aware, there is no requirement to consult with a fire protection contractor when considering installation of EV chargers. Definitely speak with an electrician or a company that specialises in this area for more information.
