Using the LookUpStrata website
Lookupstrata is built for lot owners, committee members, strata managers and the businesses that work with them. Everything on the site is free. Here’s how to find your way around.
How do I find what I’m looking for?
Looking for content? Try our search page to find Q&As, articles, and webinars on the topic you are interested in. If your first search doesn’t turn up what you need, try different words. “Levies”, “special levy” and “strata fees” can lead to different results.
Strata rules vary by state, so use the filters to search for content relvant to your state.
I’m new to strata. Where do I start?
Begin with What is Strata? to get a good understanding of the basics. If you hit a term you don’t know, our glossary, covering key terms and strata jargon, explains it in plain language. Then head to your state’s information page for the rules that apply to you.
What if I can’t find an answer?
Use the Ask a Strata Question page. Fill in the form, tell us what’s going on, and include your state, because the answer depends on it. We’ll source an answer from our network of strata professionals around Australia.
Why become a site member?
Joining is free, and it’s the same thing as subscribing. As a member, you’ll receive:
- Our Strata Connect Weekly, every Tuesday morning, with articles, legislative changes and strata news.
- The Strata Magazine for your state.
- Early notice of our webinars.
These keep you informed, so you can make better decisions in your own building.
Members can also download Q&As and articles as PDFs, and comment on articles. If you have a question about something you’ve read, you can ask it in the comments.
Where can I find a strata service provider?
Browse the Lookupstrata directory to find businesses that work with strata schemes, such as insurers, lawyers, building professionals and contractors.
